| Overview All locals that bargain for employees of the
federal government or in the private sector, such as private schools, private hospitals,
etc., are covered by the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (LMRDA or
Landrum-Griffin), as amended and must file reports with the Department of Labor.
Every labor union subject to LMRDA must file a financial report, Form LM-2, LM-3, or LM-4,
each year with the Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) of the U.S. Department of
Labor's Employment Standards Administration. LM Reports are due within 90 days of
the close of the fiscal year. |
