Keeping the Records Straight
Maintain the Local's Records

Overview

When a bank deposit is made the total amount is recorded by addition to the local’s checkbook balance with the suitably dated entry. All deposits need to be listed in date sequence. These journal entries should also include the total amount and from whom they have been acquired. An entry in a cash receipts journal will also chronicle the appropriate accounting category to which entry has been charged.
