NABET dues collection is a mixture of "Bottom Up" and "Top Down" in that full dues are collected and sent each month either by the employer or by the local to the International. The only exception is locals that are using the MUMS Membership Reporting Package. These locals remit only Per Capita, MRF, and Defense Fund. Refer to Maintain Membership Records Using Mums2000, a computerized Membership Program Section for more details. Once dues are processed for the month the International will issue a rebate check to the local for their portion of the dues. A Local Statement will accompany the check.
