Jan. 31

IRS Form 941, quarterly income tax withholding report due for fourth quarter of the previous year (similar returns also are due for many state income tax offices).

Jan. 31

IRS Form 940, annual federal unemployment tax return, is due to IRS for the previous year.

Jan. 31

Forms W-2 for employees and Forms 1099-Misc. for amounts paid to others during the previous year, must be mailed by today.

Feb. 15

IRS Form 990 or 990-EZ due for those affiliates with a fiscal year ending Sept. 30

Feb. 28

Forms W-2 and the transmittal report W-3 for the previous year must be mailed to the IRS by today.

March 31

For affiliates covered by the Department of Labor, the annual LM report is due for those affiliates with fiscal years ending Dec. 31.*

May 15

IRS Form 990 or 990-EZ is due for those affiliates with a fiscal year ending Dec. 31.

July 31

Sept. 28

For affiliates covered by the Department of Labor, the annual LM report is due for those affiliates with fiscal years ending June 30.*

Sept. 30

CWA fiscal year ends on Sept. 30.

Oct. 31

Nov. 15

IRS Form 990 or 990-EZ due for those affiliates with fiscal years ending on June 30.**

Dec. 28

For affiliates covered by the Department of Labor, the annual LM Report is due for those affiliates with fiscal years ending Sept. 30*

* Department of Labor Reports are due 90 days after the close of the fiscal year. The only Locals exempt from filing any reports under the LMRDA are those comprised entirely of state, county, municipal or federal employees.

** Form 990 or 990-EZ is due four and one-half months after the close of the fiscal year. For example, if your fiscal year ends Sept. 30, the report is due Feb. 15.
